The Opportunity
At Traci Connell Interiors, we are offering a unique opportunity for a Intermediate Interior Designer to play a critical role in bringing high-end residential projects to life—not just through design, but through seamless execution, precision, and problem-solving. This is more than just a drafting role; it’s an opportunity to own the process from concept to completion, ensuring that every element of a project is meticulously planned, flawlessly documented, and expertly delivered.
You will be at the heart of the execution process, taking satisfaction in seeing your technical expertise translate into beautifully realized spaces. Whether it’s crafting detailed CAD drawings, overseeing construction progress, or sourcing the perfect luxury finishes, your work will have a direct and tangible impact on each project’s success.
Beyond the technical details, this role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-moving, high-end design environment where your ability to problem-solve, think on your feet, and maintain impeccable accuracy will be truly valued. You will collaborate closely with general contractors, brokers, vendors, and high-profile clients, ensuring that the vision for each space is not only achieved but elevated.
For the right individual, this is an opportunity to shape and refine the way our projects are executed. You will bring structure to complexity, organization to chaos, and efficiency to a process that demands excellence at every level. If you are driven by precision, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and take pride in seeing projects come to life with flawless execution, this is the role where you will find real job satisfaction.
The Role
As a Intermediate Interior Designer at Traci Connell Interiors, you will be at the forefront of bringing luxury residential projects to life—taking them from concept through to flawless execution. This role is far more than drafting; it’s about ensuring every detail is meticulously planned, documented, and implemented to perfection. You will take ownership of technical design, on-site project coordination, and procurement, ensuring that the creative vision is realized with precision and efficiency.
A core part of your role will involve developing and managing detailed AutoCAD drawings, finish schedules, and construction documentation, ensuring that every specification is clear, comprehensive, and actionable. Your expertise will guide the team through the complexities of high-end residential design, from selecting luxury materials to troubleshooting unforeseen site challenges. Working directly with general contractors, brokers, and high-profile clients, you will be the critical link between creative design and real-world execution.
This role is highly hands-on—you will be on-site monitoring construction progress, facilitating change orders, and ensuring that installations meet the highest standards. Your ability to think quickly, problem-solve effectively, and communicate clearly will be essential in keeping projects on track. With a sharp eye for detail and a perfectionist’s approach to execution, you will ensure that nothing is overlooked and that every element aligns seamlessly with the design intent.
Beyond construction oversight, you will play a key role in sourcing and procuring luxury materials and furnishings, ensuring that each project is completed with the highest quality finishes. From working with exclusive vendors to negotiating pricing and managing timelines, you will bring both efficiency and expertise to the procurement process. Your ability to work with speed, accuracy, and professionalism will be invaluable, particularly when meeting the needs of high-end buyers who expect a seamless experience.
This is a fast-moving, high-impact role for someone who thrives in both the technical and operational sides of design. It requires a balance of design expertise, construction knowledge, and project management acumen—along with the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines. This is an on-site position, based in our North Dallas office and at project locations in Turtle Creek, making it ideal for a designer who loves being immersed in the details and seeing their work come to life in real-time.
