From ground up, we had so much fun turning this dirt into a space magazine-worthy. A client project… urban modern abode is what we had in mind from the very beginning. This project has been featured in Luxe and many other blogs! Here is a quick flashback of a fan fav TCI!!
During the build portion we combined a sea of white with natural wood tones for the perfect combination of urban meets modern. In the family room we chose a stunning marble tile to grace the fireplace from floor to ceiling.
Possibly one of the most shocking features in the home is the study. We chose black. YEP black. Why?? Because black paint can speak volumes. We created a diamond formation in the bookcase for a unique backdrop to the office wall.
Ahh, the kitchen. A waterfall quartz island stands strong in front of the contrasting wood and gray painted flat paneled cabinets behind. We chose white for the backsplash. Why? Because, when it comes to urban modern, everything can’t be the showstopper. We needed some white to blend with the design yet the sculptural appearance makes it still amazing.
Lets make an entrance. Sometimes people overthink the tall and large walls going up staircases. We decided to make it an easy decision and create something “paneled”. We took a wall and turned it into artwork.
What is a dining room? A place you gather, create memories and love to spend time. Why not make it the prettiest place. The asymmetrical light fixture sets the tone for this space and adding the wallpaper, dining table and abstract art simply followed suit.
And lastly, do not under-estimate the small spaces. We commissioned this modern line artwork specifically for the stair nook and couldn’t imagine it without this maze of black and white. And picture the hallway without that multi-faced stool… it would be seemingly plain!
Each detail of projects become like family to us, and this one hits home especially as I have created a similar feel and design in my very own home!
